For 45 years, we’ve been running strong — quite literally! What started as a fundraiser inspired by a local brain surgeon has grown into a community tradition that gives back year after year. Our goal has always been simple: to host a great race for everyone, from speedy sprinters to joyful joggers, while raising funds for local charities. Today, we’re proud to say that 100% of our proceeds go straight back into the community we love. 💛

The Frenchay10k race recognises winners with a prize, in each of the following categories
1st, 2nd and 3rd Overall male and female runners
1st Junior male and female runners aged 15-17: Junior-M & Junior-F
1st Senior male and female runners aged 18-39: Sen-M & Sen-F
1st Veteran male and female runners aged 40+: V40-M & V40-F
1st Veteran male and female runners aged 50+: V50-M & M50-F
1st Veteran male and female runners aged 60+: V60-M & V60-F
1st Veteran male and female runners aged 70+: V70-M & V70-F
Fastest four male EA Affiliated running club team members in a race: Team-M4
Fastest four female EA Affiliated running club team members in a race: Team-F4
1st, 2nd and 3rd will be decided on first passed the post, not chip time – so get to the front of the pack if you want the coveted title of race winner! Winning runners will only be awarded one prize.
Course records
The All-Time Course record holder is Nick Rose with an immensely impressive time of 32:06 back in 1980 when the race began! He was the British Olympic Champion in 1982 winning a silver medal in the 5000m at the Brisbane Commonwealth Games.
The course has changed since then so the following course record times are taken from 2010 onwards.
